Hunting Grounds
Want to catch some prey for the clan? Then dash through the pine needle trees, catch a fish by the stream, or leap after eagles. Here is a list of the clan territory that you can hunt on!
Hunting ground list:
Mountainclan Hunting Grounds:
Smooth Rock- Here lies a large, smooth rock that can be used for basking as well as camouflaging to wait for an eagle to swoop down after a mouse.
Sheer Cliff- A steep drop makes the cats of Mountainclan become more alert. Only warriors hunt here, where rabbits, mice, & a hawk or two come occasionally.
Iceclan Hunting Grounds:
Fishing Holes- Many small holes are around to sit & wait by. Seals come by to breath through the holes, & a bite to the neck will be enough to catch one.
Rocky Outcrop- Several tall, large rocks grouped together make a good place for the occasional bird. Polar bears & their cubs come to play here once in a while, to either avoid or, for the ambitious, attack.
Cloudclan Hunting Grounds:
Owl Oak- A giant oak in Cloudclan territory. A giant owl lives in a hole up high in the tree. He shows when prey is most active, as he flies around in search of mice. Many voles & mice come to eat here.
Snake Clearing- A open grass land dominated by poisonous snakes. They can be hunted, but are dangerous, & mostly experienced warriors hunt here. The poison is only in the teeth, the rest edible.
Streamclan Hunting Grounds:
Sunny Bay- A sparkling pond surrounded by boulders to sun on & many fish to catch swimming freely in the pond.
Rushing Streams- 2 streams bordering Streamclan's camp running plentiful with fish. Salmon is a favorite & popular here.
Forestclan Hunting Grounds:
Forest- A forest filled with owls, worms, voles, chipmunks, squirrels, rabbits, & many other creatures to fill up the fresh-kill pile.
Leaf Hollow- Many oak trees bend over around a grassy hollow. It's a shady piece of territory in Forestclan, & has lots of prey.
Blackclan Hunting Grounds:
Marsh Field- An open, marshy piece of Blackclan territory. Lizards come frequently to sit on sun-warmed rocks. Occasionally frogs hop out of the small pond nearby.
Abandoned Twoleg Nest- An abandoned nest stands here, with plenty of birds, mice, & rats that make a home in the cracks of the old place to feed the clan.
Breezeclan Hunting Grounds:
Windy Moor- A clearing between some hills where the wind bows hardest. Rabbit holes can be found everywhere here, & a few mice take shelter in the bushes.
Hawk's Nest Cliff- A small cliff at the edge of Breezeclan territory. Eagles & hawks care for young on on the ledges by the bottom of the cliff & in the few trees around it.
Post a thread to show what your doing during the hunting, & what you caught. You can also do it in parts, with several cats on a hunting or border patrol, or you could just be hunting with friends. (You can eat prey if you're on a border patrol.) Questions? Send a message!
Remember: It's against the warrior code to steal prey from other clans (If you don't mind getting into trouble with your leader & the other clan, it's your choice!).

Cinderstorm stalked through the short, stubby grass, careful of making a sound, & slowly creeped up behind the mouse. She went into a hunter's crouch & pounced! The mouse turned to run, but was too late. Cinderstorm killed it quickly & buried it, remembering where it was so she could take her catch back to camp when she finished. Then she turned & opened her mouth, scenting more prey to catch.
